Scream Cheese

Pepperoni and dollops of cream cheese on the Mozzferatu sauce and mozzarella.

Dough: The Default

🎬 Pairs well with Scream (1996) – Do you like scary pizzas?

Prep

  1. Sauce. Use the sauce from Mozzferatu.
  2. Cream cheese. Take it out of the fridge about an hour ahead so it’s soft enough to dollop.

Build

  1. Stretch the dough ball to about 14 inches.
  2. Top in this order:
    1. Sauce, spread thin, leaving the rim bare.
    2. Mozzarella.
    3. Pepperoni.
    4. Cream cheese in small dollops spread around the pizza.

Bake: outdoor oven

  1. Preheat to about 700°F on the stone, checked with an infrared thermometer.
  2. Bake 2–3 minutes, turning the pizza every 20–30 seconds.
  3. Done when the rim is browned, the pepperoni edges have curled and the cream cheese has softened and started to color.
